The University of Kansas Cancer Center is transforming cancer research and clinical care by linking its innovative approach to drug discovery, delivery, and development to its nationally accredited patient care program. Its partnership includes cancer research and health care professionals associated with the University of Kansas Medical Center and The University of Kansas Hospital in Kansas City, the University of Kansas in Lawrence, the University of Kansas School of Medicine in Wichita, and members of the Midwest Cancer Alliance.
Through collaboration and innovation, the physicians and researchers at the University of Kansas Cancer Center are reducing the burden of cancer in Kansas and throughout the region. Part of their mission is to ensure patients have access to cutting-edge clinical trials, and they are primed to lead the nation’s universities in developing new cancer-fighting drugs. Their quest to achieve National Cancer Institute (NCI) designation is bolstered by incredible momentum over the past five years, and particularly over the past year.
Sunflowers to Roses supports KU in these efforts through annual donations. During the past few years, Sunflowers to Roses donations have focused on breast cancer research.
